Nigerian comedian Bovi Ugboma, popularly known as Bovi, has spoken out about his recent experience with the US visa ban.

Popular comedian Bovi Ugboma has opened up about being banned from entering the United States after a clash with a visa-issuing officer.

Speaking in a recent interview, Bovi explained that the incident had been blown out of proportion in the media, and he had been embarrassed by the coverage. He did not provide specific details about what happened between himself and the visa officer but did describe the officer as being very unfriendly.

Bovi expressed frustration at the way the story was spun, saying that he had only asked the officer about his visa history and that the incident had been escalated in the media. The comedian also talked about his complicated relationship with his father and how he is trying to be a different kind of parent to his own children.

Bovi is not the only Nigerian celebrity to have faced visa issues. Earlier this year, popular singer Burna Boy was also denied a visa to perform at the Coachella music festival in the US.

The US embassy in Nigeria has not provided any explanation for the recent visa denials, but has emphasized that visa applications are reviewed on a case-by-case basis and that applicants must meet all eligibility requirements.
